The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process designed for two different groups of people: (1) adults who are not Catholic and would like to join the Catholic Church, and (2) adults who were baptized as children into the Catholic faith, but who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Sometimes members of this group also have not received their First Communion in the Catholic Church; O.C.I.A. is designed for them, too. The process starts in September and members are formally brought into the Church on Holy Saturday, at the Easter Vigil. Call Joe Pittarelli at 732-323-8469.
